My name is Joy Mesa, and I’m a student at Miami University majoring in Emerging Technology in Business + Design, with a minor in Communication Design. I’m passionate about blending creativity with usability, using tools like Figma, Procreate, and Adobe Suite.
I started with a background in fine arts, which sparked my interest in how design can be both functional and human-centered. I believe good design starts with understanding people—how they think, feel, and interact with the world.
My interest in UX grew from seeing how design shapes everyday experiences. I’m especially drawn to the empathy behind user research and the impact of thoughtful, inclusive design. My process is all about listening, testing, and staying curious—so I can create digital experiences that are clear, accessible, and meaningful for everyone.
